Ready for the 1st pattern? I know I am. This pattern was actually the very first pattern I tested that launched my love for testing patterns! Maybe it was because sewing for a girl was so much fun, or maybe because it is such a cute pattern. Either way, it’s a win-win!
But let’s take a little walk down memory lane first. Ruth was still a wee little thing but growing already! She was still tiny and able to fit in newborn or 0-3mo clothes. Wore newborn diapers. However being small didn’t keep her from adventures! During the first month she went on her first lunch date with mommy and Grammy and saw her first movie (Turbo, which she slept through). She gets hiccups all the time just like when she was in my belly! She was just a content baby that loved getting love from her family!
Now it’s time for the pattern! This is the LadyBug Bend Sassy Schoolgirl shirt. I think the name really says it all. A cute little schoolgirl button down shirt with a ton of options. These include optional Peter Pan collar, 4 sleeve lengths (short, long, flutter, and double: flutter + short/long), and a little pocket. One of the best options: the size range!! A huge range of sizes from 0-3months to 12yrs and even an 18″ doll size!! This one will last a long time.
Taya really did a great job with the tutorial. This was the first button down shirt I ever made and it came out great!! I even got to make two. Double the fun! If you don’t want to wait the whole 2weeks for the giveaway you can buy this pattern HERE!
Time to start getting your entries in for the giveaway!!! Because I blog on WordPress, unfortunately they aren’t very Rafflecopter friendly. So you will need to follow this link to enter: a Rafflecopter giveaway. I know its one extra click…but sooo worth it! The Rafflecopter will be active now till 9/1/14 to give everyone enough time to enter! Good luck!

I have to tell ya. You’ve been more of an inspiration to me than probably any other seamstress that I know. To sew more. To break out of comfort zones. To sew better. To take better pictures.
And maybe one day I’ll have time and energy at the same time so I can blog more. Haha. 🙂 thanks for sharing your beautiful children with us!
